Marisa White

After completing her Bachelor of Science in Psychology and her Clinical Theory and Practice in the Counselling of Addictive Disorders both in the UK, Marisa moved to Australia and worked at The Sydney Clinic, a private Psychiatric hospital in Bronte. Marisa loved working with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, Psychiatrists and other therapists. Marisa worked in the Dialectic Behavioural Therapy (DBT) program supporting patient with Borderline Personality Disorder as well as Major Depression, addiction and anxiety disorders. Before this she had spent a year at The Priory Hospital in the South of England working and training in addiction therapies.

Having worked in numerous therapy teams before moving into private practice Marisa is passionate about the shared group approach they have at Harley Child and Family Clinic, working together with the other practitioners to support families in a private practice setting. Marisa’s clinical experience is primarily with adults and as well as working with parents she also works with many young female clients. Her strengths include work in the fields of self-esteem, mindfulness, personal development, depression, anxiety, interpersonal difficulties and parenting issues.
